Frequently Asked Questions

If I modify a vehicle do I lose the factory warranty?

In general, yes. Any major modifications to the engine, exhaust, transmission or electrical system will invalidate a factory warranty -- and most aftermarket warranties as well. Cosmetic changes like seat covers and larger or extra mirrors generally do not. However even putting non-standard sized tires on a vehicle can cause problems.

There are however lots of products you can put in your vehicle that won't invalidate the warrantee. For example, adding a Dynan chip to boost horsepower, if installed properly, shouldn't cause a problem.

We strongly suggest that before doing ANY modifications to a vehicle still under warranty that you check with the manufacturer (not the dealership) directly to determine if you are doing something that may void your warranty.
