How do I get vehicles to test drive?

Becoming an automotive journalist requires writing articles or developing broadcasts (for radio or TV) on automotive subject matter and then getting it printed, published or broadcast by a media outlet. Expect to write a large number of articles (reviews and/or general subject automotive subject matter) and then submitting it to many automotive media outlets. Expect no compensation initially. Some journalists attempt to get hired on as staff at a publication or media outlet. Others function as freelancers selling their material to many media outlets.

To test vehicles you must be affiliated with and providing automotive editorial (articles or broadcasts) to a bonafide media outlet - magazine, newspaper, radio station, website, etc. You must be at least 21 years old. If you meet those criteria you can request vehicles from the PR departments of the automakers.
