But if you want our two-cents, don't turn off the airbags! You are safer with them on, then off in almost every situation. If you have to sit closer to the steering wheel than 10 inches, than perhaps you need to consider other options -- chocks to bring the pedals closer to you so you can sit further from the steering wheel, or perhaps a more traditional modification done for people with disabilities. But if you are able to sit 10 or more inches from the steering wheel, you should be fine.
