products with good safety ratings and that can take a hit.
Good used products include Volvos (S and V40s or any Volvo
for that matter), VWs (especially the New Beetle, Passat
and Jetta), Hondas, Toyotas, Audis and BMWs. Any premium
car that is 3 or more years old and has been well taken
care of is a great idea.

A good option is to look at Certified pre owned cars from
the europeans. You can get a great car with all the safety
features you would want for your kids at a reasonable
price. They will also think it is so cool to get a more
expensive used car with status than a new Hyundai.
