The 2008 Kia Rio5 five-door hatchback (MSRP: $14,495 - $15,340, Invoice price: $13,785 - $14,590) is available in LX and SX trim levels and competes with the Chevrolet Cobalt, Dodge Caliber, Ford Focus, Honda Civic, Jeep Compass and the Mazda Mazda3 wagon, Mitsubishi Outlander, Scion XB, Scion XD, Pontiac Vibe, Suzuki Reno, Suzuki SX4, Toyota Matrix, Volkswagen Golf. The Kia Rio is a subcompact car produced by the South Korean automaker Kia Motors and introduced in August 2000 for the 2001 model year.1 The Rio5 is the hatchback version of this model, and is assembled in Hwasung, South Korea. The Rio5 comes with a 110-horsepower, 1.6-liter I4 engine and a front-wheel drive system; a five-speed manual transmission or four-speed automatic transmission.
