2000 Maxda B4000, B3000 And B2500
By Bob Storck
With many young people looking for the tough image and low prices of
small trucks, this is a good place for Mazda to rebuild their
popularity. The aggressive grille proudly displays the Mazda flying M
logo. The other most obvious (and appealing) difference between the
Ranger and B-Truck is the sculpted body sides, with shapely flares over
the large wheels.
They have called upon famed helmet artist Troy Lee to produce special
editions that have upgraded equipment and graphics.
B-Truck's Regular Cab has good interior space, with increased seat
travel, additional seat recline comfort and extra storage capacity
behind the seat compared with the previous version. A storage tray
concealed behind the seat is standard on Regular Cabs. SuperCabs receive
dual rear cup holders and a small storage bin. A welcome grab handle on
both A-pillars is added to 4x4s for entry.
The B-Truck is equipped with dual air bags, and a passenger-side air
bag deactivation switch to protect infants.
B-Trucks come in two grades, the base SX and upscale SE, Regular Cab
and SuperCab body styles, a choice of short or long wheelbases, and all
are available in 4x2 and 4x4 drive configurations.
