The Acura SLX is designed to provide a remarkable level of comfort and
convenience by offering a full compliment of luxury amenities as
standard equipment. The SLX receives significant changes last year,
including: updated styling featuring a completely redesigned front end,
new lighting, a new vertical grille and body-colored side mirrors.
The SLX is powered by a larger and more powerful 3.5-liter, DOHC, V-6
engine, producing 215 horsepower (a 13% increase) and 230 lbs.-ft. of
torque (a 22% increase).
The SLX also features a new Borg-Warner designed Torque-On-Demand
4-wheel-drive system, which transfers power at the touch of a button.
Additionally, this vehicle gets an improved ABS system, an enhanced
automatic cruise control system, updated instrumentation panel, changes
to the AM/FM/CD cassette audio system for improved sound quality and a
new alloy wheel design. Also, the SLX features one of the longest
wheelbases in its class for enhanced ride comfort.
The SLX comes as a fully-appointed trim level that offers a host of
amenities and features that luxury sport utility buyers are in the
